The cost will vary according to the scale of the analysis required and
could range from £1,000 for analysis on a specific subject covering a
small geographical area; to £5,000 for a broad subject covering a large
geographical area.
Problem profile
A report that uses hypothesis testing to identify the drivers behind
observed trends or changes. The hypothesis testing approach combines the
expertise of frontline staff with statistical analysis to identify the
factors that most impact the problem.

The estimated cost of this analysis is approximately £2,500.
Strategic assessment
A document providing an overview of crime and associated disorder within
the boundary of a Community Safety Partnership. This includes analysis
of key problem areas, drivers of change, and hotspot locations. The
document follows the recommended victim, offender, location structure as
this best highlights opportunities for partnership working.

Price
The price of a full strategic assessment is expected to be around
£10,000. For smaller budgets, however, Starby Consulting is able to
support partnerships to complete their Strategic Assessment, according
to need.
Project evaluation
A report evaluating the impact a project has had against its intended
outcomes, using qualitative and quantitative measures of success. The
evaluation will look at process, as well as performance, to identify
areas of good practice, with a focus on value for money.

Price
The price will vary according to the size of the project and the quality
of the data available and could range from £2,500 for evaluation of a
small, short-term project (less than 12 months duration) to £5,000 for a
medium-sized, long-term project (12 months duration or more), up to
£10,000 for the largest-scale interventions.
A 20% discount is available if the evaluation is requested before
the launch of the intervention
